Year 7 hosted a poetry slam on Thursday 9 March. Year 7s from all English classrooms were competing against each other to win various different awards by performing poetry. I addition, the teachers from Wren had a go too by filming themselves reading from their favourite poems old and new.

The winners were:

Year 10: Hettie Cox
Year 9: Myles Olofin
Year 8: Kalifa Grant
Year 7: Scott Folan and Beatrice Barr

Well done to all they Year 7 students who performed wonderfully and should be very proud.

Also we should thank Scott and Cameron who hosted the poetry slam brilliantly and added some humour to it. However most thanks to the fabulous English teachers and to Mr Smylie who organised the event very well.
